Privacy Policy
This policy explains how PALMA Real Estate Albania (“PALMA”, “we”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit palmarealestate.al or contact us through it. Your data is handled in line with the personal data protection legislation in force in the Republic of Albania and, for visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who processes your data

2. What data we collect
Data you give us when you fill in a form on the site (contact, interest in a property, “Present your property”, partnership or search):
- your name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number and country;
- your role (owner, buyer, investor, developer, partner), the type of property or request, area, floor area, budget or expected value, timeframe and preferred way of contact;
- company name and website (for partners);
- your message and, if you choose to send them, photos or PDF documents of the property;
- the reference code of the property you are asking about.
Please do not send us data that your request does not need, in particular sensitive data (about health, beliefs, etc.) or identity documents.
Technical data: when you open the site, our hosting provider’s server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and time of visit, for the security and operation of the site.
3. What we use it for
- to answer your request and contact you about it;
- to present properties, investment opportunities or projects that match your request;
- to assess and represent the property you present to us, if you are an owner;
- to keep the site secure and prevent unwanted messages (spam);
- to meet legal obligations, where they apply.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising without your consent.
4. Legal basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the consent box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Steps before an agreement that you yourself ask for (e.g. information about a property or representation of your property).
- Our legitimate interest in the security of the site and in professional communication with clients and partners.
- PALMA’s legal obligations, where they apply.
5. Who we share it with
- The site’s hosting provider, where form data is stored.
- Google (Gmail), which we use for PALMA’s email: form notifications arrive at this address.
- Owners, developers or professional partners (e.g. notaries, lawyers), only when your request requires it and only after telling you.
- Public authorities, only when the law requires it.
Some of these providers (such as Google) may process data outside Albania; in those cases we rely on the safeguards they provide under the law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep requests and contact details for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless a working relationship begins — then we keep them for as long as it lasts and as long as legal (e.g. accounting) obligations require. Photos and documents you send are kept for the same period. After that we delete or anonymise them.
7. Cookies and outside services
- palma_lang — remembers the language you chose (English or Albanian). Necessary for the site to work; kept for 1 year.
- Your choice on the cookie notice is stored in your browser, so we do not ask again.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only if you click “Accept”. If you click “Decline”, none are set.
- Property maps are shown from OpenStreetMap; when you open a map, your browser loads its tiles directly from them, which shares your IP address with them.
- WhatsApp opens only when you click its button; WhatsApp’s own terms then apply.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a readable format and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. For any request, write to palma.realestate.investment@gmail.com; we will reply within 30 days.
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you have the right to complain to the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection (www.idp.al).
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from loss, unauthorised use or alteration — among them, access to the administration panel only for authorised PALMA staff and a limit on the types of files that can be sent.
10. Children
The site is not aimed at people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
